LICENSE KEYS, CREDENTIALS, AND ACCESS SECURITYLicense keys, access credentials, download links, and authorization mechanisms provided for individual use are confidential to the authorized user.You may not share, sell, sublicense, transfer, publish, post, distribute, disclose, or otherwise provide them to another person except as expressly authorized.You are responsible for protecting credentials issued to you and for activity reasonably attributable to their use.Dispatcher Training Tools is not responsible for unauthorized use resulting from your disclosure, sharing, failure to protect, or compromise of credentials, except to the extent liability cannot lawfully be excluded.7. DOWNLOADED MATERIALSDownloaded guides, publications, worksheets, exercises, checklists, reference materials, and other digital files are licensed for personal use and may not be redistributed.Unless expressly authorized in writing, you may not:• Provide a purchased or restricted file to another person

A Career at the Center of Public Safety That MattersPublic safety dispatchers, also known as 9-1-1 dispatchers, public safety telecommunicators, communications officers, calltakers, and emergency communications operators, serve as a critical link between the public and emergency responders.When someone calls 9-1-1, dispatchers must quickly determine what is happening, where help is needed, what resources may be required, and what information emergency responders need to know.Depending on the agency and assignment, public safety dispatchers may answer emergency/9-1-1 and non-emergency calls, dispatch law enforcement officers, firefighters, and emergency medical personnel, monitor and communicate information using two-way radio, coordinate responding resources, access secure public safety databases, provide callers with emergency instructions, and document incidents using a computer aided dispatch (CAD) system.When someone needs help, a dispatcher is often the first public safety professional the person encounters.

WHAT DOES A PUBLIC SAFETY DISPATCHER DO?Public safety dispatching involves much more than answering phone calls.During their shift, a dispatcher may be required to:- Answer emergency (9-1-1) and non-emergency telephone calls
